Do Men fall asleep during a massage?

Everyone is different, your body will give you what you need during a massage, if you are tired you may fall asleep.  Massage therapists consider it a compliment when a guest slips into slumber. The downside is that you miss the conscious enjoyment of the massage.

 Is it appropriate to talk during a treatment?

Before the session begins, you and the therapist should discuss your expectations and address what concerns you have. For maximum benefit, you should quiet your mind and focus on the experience, and the therapist should focus on his or her craft without the distraction of maintaining conversation. A good therapist will never initiate conversation during the service.

Can I keep my shorts on?

A great massage can be delivered whether you wear undergarments or not.
Regardless, you will always be properly draped and only the area being worked on is exposed. If undressing is a concern, Shiatsu or Thai massages are recommended because you may remain fully clothed.  The therapist rule of thumb is to not work areas within one inch of any clothing.  This is to prevent getting oil or lotion on your clothing. 

Should I speak up if a massage or other treatment hurts?

Absolutely, this is your treatment, and you should be comfortable! Most therapists welcome feedback.

What else should I know?

Don't Help! Believe it or not, you're making a therapist's work more difficult if you help by trying to maneuver your body. Just lie there and let them lift up your head, leg, arms, etc.  When you are holding up your own body part you are contracting the muscle the therapist is working on and it prevents them from massaging it properly.
