False eyelashes will give you the flexibility and versatility to change the appearance of your lashes any time you like. They are a much cheaper option than going for permanent eyelash implants or semi permanent eyelash extensions. This holiday season, they also offer some Blink Bling jewelry for your eye options that can be added or removed in the wink of an eye.
The hot winter weekend eye look is filled with jewels, metallic and over the top lashes. Sexy, upfront, and original, MAC Lashes are bringing back the caterpillar eyes of the '60s. This trend started when models like Twiggy were seen using false eyelashes. False lashes, which perk the face up even without other heavy make-up, have made a comeback. Today, celebrities such as Beyoncé Knowles and Jennifer Lopez are always seen wearing false eyelashes. These lashes are not always the natural looking variety. Feathers, diamonds and fur are some of the latest contenders to warm up your winter eyes.
Limited-edition Red Velvet Feathers are impossibly lush, like large, russet, furry caterpillars. Not counting the diamond-and-mink ones created especially for Madonna you can buy black diamante look-alikes, at $65, these are among the more expensive; most range from $19 to $32, and are handmade in Japan of synthetic materials.
If you are looking for a luxurious line and don’t mind paying $50, Shu Uemura created two special edition lashes in Brown Feather and Radiant Blue that come with feathers for special occasions. On the other end of the price spectrum, Ardel and Revlon make false eyelashes that can be found at CVS for under $5. If you are looking for a wider variety of lashes, Sugar, Vincent Longo and Hard Candy each make a line of lashes that can be found at Sephora.

Some eyelash sets feature lashes that come in special colors or adorned with crystals. The new line of MAC lashes includes a set of separate, individual pieces to personalize your look, plus a set of half lashes to plump the center of your real lashes. MAC also created a dramatic looks for night use and natural lengths that are perfect for work or school. With a quick application, they can glamorize your entire look.
With a little bit of practice, false lashes will become an easy way to dramatically enhance your eyes, either to be subtle-yet-noticeable with natural looking options, or to be uber-dramatic with crystals and sparkles for a night on the town.
Of course, becoming a lash expert takes practice and time. It's not something you want to try for the first time on a big night.
If you need to look gorgeous now, consider getting them put on professionally. Make-up artists at salons sometimes apply false eyelashes as part of a make-up application usually $50 and up. Or you can go to M.A.C. Cosmetics, where they'll do a complimentary make-up application, including their brand of fake eyelashes, which are $10.00
