Lipo-Dissolve and Mesotherapy
Mesotherapy is a technique, invented in 1952 by Dr. Michel Pistor, where medication is injected into the mesoderm, the layer of fat and connective tissue under the skin. Over the past 50+ years, an excess of 15,000 physicians world-wide have used Mesotherapy on a daily basis for a variety of purposes, including overall weight loss, spot weight reduction, cellulite reduction, hair loss, scar revision and wrinkle elimination. Mesotherapy is also used to correct unevenness, lumps, or divots that develop after liposuction. Mesotherapy received its name because injections go under the skin and are absorbed by the mesodermal, or middle, layer of the skin.
Candidates for this procedure are adults between the ages of 18 - 75 and in good health are candidates for Mesotherapy for weight loss, spot weight reduction, and cellulite reduction. Patients who are pregnant, on blood thinners, are insulin-dependent diabetics, on medication for heart arrhythmias, have severe heart disease or have cancer are not candidates for cosmetic Mesotherapy
The Procedure: Pharmaceutically compounded substances such as Phosphatidyl choline are injected into the dermal layer of skin, where fat and cellulite accumulate. Please note that the ingredients used in lipo-dissolve may vary depending on the doctor and the area being treated. The ingredients may include phosphatidyl choline, multivitamins, alpha lipid acid, enzymes, and plant extracts. Ingredients may also include chemical agents such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications, antibiotics, and hormones. The combination of natural extracts, homeopathic agents, pharmaceuticals and vitamins into the skin eliminate cellulite, promote weight loss, treat aging skin and redundant (sagging) skin, and rejuvenate the hands and neck. Basically, destroy the fat cells and transports the cells through the lymphatic system where they are naturally eliminated from the body.

Common Side Effects: local pain, minor burning sensation for a few hours, and temporary bruising. Itching and soreness may be experienced for 1-2 days and swelling of treated area for 48 hours.
Risks of Lipo-Dissolve: Complications from the injection are considered minimal — slight bruising, infection, swelling or an allergic reaction — which can be treated by your doctor as needed. However, the long-term effects of lipo-dissolve have not been established. Mesotherapy and LipoDissolve are not yet approved by the FDA. The technique hasn't been scientifically proven to work; there's no standard formula for which fluids are injected; and none of them are FDA-approved. “These are unapproved drugs for unapproved uses, and the FDA cannot guarantee consumers' safety," an agency spokeswoman said
Because different doctors use different ingredients for lipo-dissolve, it is difficult to give a meaningful prediction of results from past procedures. There are no significant studies demonstrating where the medication travels or how it may affect organs, what the proper dosage or ingredient requirement is, the short term side effects, or long-term complications
