Twenty-seven holes of championship golf and four world-class tennis courts appeal to active guests, while Spa Avania soothes body and soul in treatment rooms open to the healing light of the desert. Additional features include a Native American learning center, the VIP Regency club, fitness facilities and complimentary bicycles provided for riding along a four-mile trail. The unassuming front of this palm-lined building, which is separate from the hotel, belies the oasis behind, a beguiling series of mineral pools, gardens, a lotus pond and walkways that lead to tranquil treatment rooms.

At Spa Avania, they blend personalized treatment offerings, mineral water therapy, uniquely synchronized music styling, YogaAway, diet, and the antioxidant blessings of the world’s finest teas into an artful indoor-outdoor oasis.

The 21,000-square-foot sanctuary offers 18 indoor/outdoor therapy rooms including three spacious couple’s rooms and a private men’s suite complete with a flat screen television and mini bar.

Treatments: OptiMale Experience, Desert Essence Hydrating Wrap, Mineral Massage, Crushed Pearl Facial, Avania Vichy, and Mud Wrap.  Enhancements needed:  Menu descriptions of the treatments are virtually non existents.  The Progressif  skin treatment is described as  Resurfacing - Purifying - Renew $200  there is no indication of how long the service is, what is done during the service and what products are used.  So if you have allergies or sensitivities, you cannot tell if this service is right for you.   

Costs: $$$$ - Spa treatments available in 60 and 90-minute increments with rates starting at $150.

Amenities:  Men's and women's changing rooms ease guests into a tranquil transition with oversized vanities, steam rooms, saunas, spacious storm showers and adjacent gender-specific indoor/outdoor relaxation lounges with cold and hot plunges and outdoor showers. The centerpiece of Spa Avania's co-ed outdoor courtyard features dual mesquite wood-burning fireplaces where guests can gaze out over the signature French Celtic mineral pool, lotus pond, black granite water wall and, just beyond, the majestic Camelback Mountains. Of the 18 treatment rooms, three oversized rooms can accommodate couples while five luxurious indoor/outdoor garden suites offer private entrances, relaxation areas and pools. The spa also caters to men with a self-contained men's suite complete with a flat-screen television and a well-stocked mini bar. In addition to the mineral pool and the smaller soaking pools, Avania also has a great fitness center; yoga classes are $18 per class, but the workout room is free with a treatment.
