Your Face: An Owner’s Manual
From the moment you were born, it was assumed that your parents knew how to take care of you. Animals know instinctively what to do, so why should people be any different? Yet, there are times when I have to ask. Why didn’t we come with an owner’s manual? How easy would life be if we could just pull out our owner’s manual for our face and know exactly what to do when.
My mother learned skin care from her mother and those secrets have been passed down over the years to me, my sisters and anyone who would listen. These word of mouth stories pass on the infinite wisdom of the face. Of course, it is probably no different than what you were told by your mother.
Being over 50, and probably looking every bit of it though some people politely say I look 35 (you can judge for yourself). I am forever looking for the magic potion that will erase the signs of aging. You probably know all of the signs, the hyperpigmentating (age spots), the loss of skin tone, skin texture, the enlarged pores, broken capillaries, sagging skin and the wrinkles. Like you, I have invested a small fortune in trying the latest and the greatest. Fortunately, as a former spa director, a holistic practitioner and a massage therapist, I have attended trainings, been to spa and aesthetic shows and sent manufacturers products to test. I have become my own guinea pig and I am developing my own owner’s manual.
