Phytomer is a “worldwide specialist in cosmetics with marine active agents.” The company manufactures products for the face, body, sun care, spa care and specifically for men. Currently, several anti-aging products are being promoted on the website.

The company was found in 1971 in Saint Malo, and has supposedly “never stopped growing” since that time. Currently, the products are available in 70 countries, and the laboratory consists of 20 scientists developing “unique formulas” from key and patented marine ingredients based on the company’s own research. We will look more closely at some of these formulas used in the products below.

The product line includes formulas for face, body and sun protection, plus several products designed just for men. We are interested in learning more about the facial products, and are surprised to see a number of different choices within this section.

Women interested in these products have several options: the Marine Breeze line and General Line are said to be suitable for all skin types; the HydraContinue line is designed for dry skin; the OgenAge line has anti-aging products; Accept line is for sensitive and intolerant skin; OligoPur is for oily and problem skin; and the WhitEclat 2 line is meant to get rid of spots.

Skin-Deep Rating from 0 – 9

Benefits of Phytomer Skin Care Products

• Products are effective (whitening products not as effective and take a long time so use another brand if this is your problem)

Drawbacks of Phytomer Skin Care Products

• Hard to find out spa locations that use and sell Phytomer products, they do have a spa locator on their site but they do not get back to you in a timely fashion
• Use of Beauty Diagnosis may lead some women to purchase unnecessary products so work with a spa professional to keep your routine simple
• If you have many skincare concerns, sometimes it is hard to determine which products are best for you. 

Bottom Line:

Phytomer products contains valuable ingredients from natural sources to protect the skin and prevent signs of aging. They manufacture some of my favorite skin care products.  They really do their research on marine algae and sea water.  Oligomer is a freeze dried concentrate of sea water with some salt removed. This bath powder contains all of the remineralizing properties of seawater, providing you with a true balneotherapy treatment at home. It is both invigorating and relaxing.
