Valentine’s Day Spa escapes are less than  two weeks away. In anticipation of that, I’ve come up with the perfect Spa ski date.

First, a disclaimer: Any day you are skiing, and with your sweetie, is a good day. But the day described below is if you want to go big. Make that huge.

All of it takes place at Keystone, where you can do a variety of first-class activities without having to drive from one destination to the next. This is an all-day date.

First, take your Valentine snowcat skiing with Keystone Adventure Tours (KAT). Just a ridgeline away from Keystone’s lift-served skiing, the snowcat transports you to three magnificent bowls filled with powder.

Take a warm-up run on the low-angle Bergman Bowl before moving out to the steeper terrain of Erickson and Independence bowls.

“You really get to get away from it all,” says Keystone spokeswoman Kate Lessman. “It’s a serene backcountry environment. You can experience something quieter.”

Quiet, and lap after lap of powder turns.

New this year is a yurt tucked into Independence Bowl, serving a catered light lunch from the four-diamond Alpenglow Stube (more on that in a bit). The yurt, which is heated by a wood stove, seats all 12 skiers and three guides in tables and chairs reminiscent of a Yellowstone lodge. The flatware, plates and cups look like a Pottery Barn take on Boy Scout standard issue.

“The cat skiing is great, but that’s only part of it,” says KAT head guide Duke Bradford. “With the small group dynamics, you can really spend quality time with someone.”

After lunch and quality time, there’s more powder turns.

The tour costs $199 per person and includes guided skiing, Salomon powder ski rental, a loaner avalanche beacon and lunch in the yurt. The cats run daily, but reservations are recommended at least 24 hours in advance.

Next, after you’ve skied your legs to Jello, head to the Keystone Lodge and Spa. The recently renovated 10,000 square-foot spa features 100 percent wind power, organic products and natural light.

With the Spa Suite Surrender treatment, you and a loved one each enjoy a 50-minute massage in the Massage Suite for Two. The suite includes an infinity-edge chromo therapy tub, built for – that’s right -two. Bathe in  Spa champagne -like bubbles saturated with colorful light therapy. Rounding out the tub experience are champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries.

“We don’t have trouble filling the treatments,” spa director Michael Simmons says. “We have trouble getting people to leave.”

The Suite Surrender treatment is $330 for two people.

So what could motivate you to get out of an infinity-edge chroma therapy tub?

Take the gondola back up to 11,444 feet to experience the height of fine dining, and I’m not just talking about the altitude. Not only will you enjoy some of the best food you’ve ever eaten, you will also be wearing some of the most comfortable slippers.

When you walk back outside, before getting back on the gondola, take a look at the stars. Happy Valentine’s Day
