Spa 54 is the newest at the lake, located at The Resort Hotel & Yacht Club at Toadcove in Lake Ozark. Opened last June, Spa 54, the only Aveda Concept spa at the Lake, offers a dimension of pure relaxation and pampered attention.
“We use only 100 percent natural botanicals,” says owner Tod McClelland. “Our spa is green in every way, starting with the natural stone reception desk and waterfall.”
Spa 54’s signature treatments include the Caribbean manicure, pedicure and body treatment, all of which use plants grown in the Caribbean to soothe and soften. “The body treatment is a restorative scalp, face and body massage that’s ideal for jet lag or stress recovery,” McClelland says. Other massages include cool and warm stone, Chakra Balancing complete with reflexology and meditation, couples, pre-natal and chair. Massages are offered by the pool and Lakeside, weather permitting.
Other body treatments include the Aque Body Polish and the stimulating Rosemary Mint Awakening Body Wrap. Facials include the Green Science Skin-Renewing Treatment that blends plant science with high-touch skin therapy to lift and firm skin and reduce fine lines and wrinkles for a more youthful-looking appearance. Our prices are quite reasonable, too, and that also sets us apart.” Cooper adds she makes many of the products used at the spa, such as a soothing St. John’s Wort oil.
