Want a spa deal? Special promotions abound
Now that summer is officially here, some of the Coachella Valley’s four-star spas are offering special promotions to beat the heat and let go in a relaxing and air conditioned environment.
At the exclusive , the Two Bunch Palms Resort & Spa in Desert Hot Springs
staff will put the $25 day spa fee toward a healthy lunch at the resort, Spa
Supervisor Tish DuBois said.

She added that her spa also offers fantastic rates on cutting edge
treatments — in particular the mud baths that Two Bunch Palms made famous in the Robert Altman cult classic film “The Player.’
DuBois said the popular “Mud in the Sun” treatment is just $75 and
“incredibly therapeutic.”
“You’ll be completely submerged in a mud bath, which you can do tandem
with a friend and then you’ll lay outside and bake in the sun followed by a
soothing mineral shower,” Du Bois said, adding that mud baths help relieve
toxins and water retention from the body.
She said a 60-minute massage or facial at Two Bunch Palms starts at $115.
At the Miramonte Resort and Spa in Indian Wells, which was voted one of
the top spas in the country by Conde Nast Traveler, the staff is offering a
special summer membership to valley residents as well as a variety of
treatments at a discounted price, according to Spa Director Jennifer
diFrancisco.
From June until Sept. 15, valley residents can join the spa and use all
of its amenities any day except Saturday — including steam rooms, pools,
lockers and special classes for $99. Spa members will also get an initiation
gift of a $45 complimentary massage.
In addition, any 60-minute spa service is $90 — and any 8 a.m. to 9
a.m. spa service on Saturdays or Sunday morning, or 6:45 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. spa
service on Saturdays can be booked for $100. A weekend savings of $45, di
Francisco said.
For people who are not interested in a summer-long membership, any 60-
minute spa service is $99 for local residents.
Indian Wells’ Spa Esmeralda at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort is also
offering a special summer promotion for local residents, according to Mandy
Alquist, the spa’s director.
Local residents can get a 50-minute massage, facial or body treatment
for $89 Monday through Friday this summer, she said.
Alquist described Spa Esmeralda as a “small boutique-style” venue
where patrons receive “personalized service.”
The famed La Quinta Resort and Spa, long a hot spot for Hollywood
celebrities and where legendary movie director Frank Capra is said to have
written the screenplay for the 1937 film “Lost Horizon,” is also offering a
summer promotion.
Local residents can receive a 50-minute massage or facial for $99 or an
80-minute massage or facial for $130, said spa coordinator Dia Davila.
