Chill Out at Home … icy beauty tips

Celebrity Hair Secret: Many celebrities use a fresh-from-the-freezer ice cube and rubs it up and down the hair shaft to create shine. The ice cube chills the hair, thus sealing the cuticle which makes hair gleam. How cheap and easy is this celebrity hair secret

Health20: Tap into the Healing Powers of Water to Fight Disease, Look Younger, and Feel Your Best

Want to wake up fast? Give your metabolism a boost? And force the toxins and oils out of your skin? Take a cold shower.

Tired eyes? try squeezing cotton pads out of ice water and place them on eyelids for at least 20 minutes. You could also place cucumber slices on eyelids while relaxing

The Fastest Way to Dry Nail Polish:  Dunk your hands in a bowl of ice-cold water.

The cold water freeze-dries polish, sealing and hardening it quickly.  Allow nails to air-dry for two minutes, and then submerge in ice-cold water for three minutes, which is enough time for the polish to harden completely.  Another option: Blast nails with cool air from a hair dryer in between coats. This helps each layer of color dry as you go.

Oily skin?  Apply a piece of ice dipped in milk on the face and the extra oil will be removed.

Swollen hands?  if you have a ring stuck on your finger due to your fingers swelling soak your hand in ice water till the ring slips off.

Red Puffy Eyes?  Fill a small bowl with iced water or ice-cold milk. Soak a cotton pad with the liquid and lie down with the dampened pads over your eyes. Replace the pads as soon as they become warm. Continue for 15 minutes. As well as reducing puffiness, this treatment will brighten the whites of your eyes.

Sun burned or enlarged pores?   Combine one part milk with three parts water, and freeze; cover the frozen cube in a cloth, and rub that over your face to tighten pores and alleviate sunburns.

To close facial pores and leave you with smooth tone facial skin:  Massage your face with ice-water or dunk your face for 10 seconds in ice water.

Take a Kneipp footbath for tired legs, poor circulation, headaches, or insomnia:  Fill one bucket with warm water and the other with cold (three-fourths way up your lower leg), alternating warm water for 5 minutes, cold for 10 seconds, and repeat. Dry your feet, put on socks, and take a brisk walk for 10 minutes or go to bed right away. Do not let your legs get cold again.

Quick At Work pick me up:

Go to the restroom and run cold water over your wrists for a minute or fill the sink with cold water and immerse both of your arms to just above the elbows; even 20 to 30 seconds can be a healthier stimulant than caffeine.
